Where can I find the signal?
Le Bouveret coverage map available!Here you can find an updated list of the addresses where the signal is present. Please note that in le Bouveret buildings are not numbered. For this reason the coverage cannot be defined by using house numbers. In order to give a better overview of the coverage a map of the town with the coverage is availabe here. The coverage has been tested on the streets with a laptop without an external antenna. A different coverage may be experienced by using different WLAN equipment.

wlan@thenet Gratis Service: You can surf for 30 minutes at a speed up to 768kbps. After 30 minutes the session will expire. To continue surfing you have to follow the login procedure again.
wlan@thenet Premium (paid) Service: For unlimited and faster surfing (up to 15000kbps) with no time or volume limits you can choose various prepaid cards from CHF 5.-. You can buy them here online or at the Tourist Office in the village. This premium product enables you to surf very fast and continuously, e.g. with your laptop, a pc with wireless card, your smart phone or any other device supporting WiFi (WiFi camera, Xbox, etc.). And that from only CHF 13.-/month!

What do I need to surf on the WiFi network?
You need an Laptop, a SmartPhone or another device with a wireless network card. They should fulfill the standard 802.11b or 802.11g.
What can I do id I don't receive a signal at my current location?
wlan@thenet is a mobile service and thus there is no guarantee for coverage. If you don’t get a signal at your current location, please move until the signal improves.

Which kind of limits are there for uploading or downloading?
In general there are no limits in volume. There is a limit in speed depending on the product. The free service limits the speed up to 768kbps. The paid service (wlan@thenet Premium service) has a speed up to 15000kbps.
What can I do to get a better signal at my place?
You can purchase a "Managed Repeater" service for your home together with a wlan@thenet service, this will help you to get a better signal. Please contact us for further information.
